One big misconception in this postmodern era of education is that students need their teachers to be their friends. Students do not need teachers as friends, they need teachers to teach.
- They need teachers to expound knowledge.
- They need teachers to guide their understanding.
- They need teachers to understand the challenges they face and advise them how to overcome that adversity in a manner that is full of integrity and responsibility to themselves and others.
Don't worry about being the student's friend, BE THEIR TEACHER.
